Lesser Abilities(Vampires/Lycanthropes): Control Change (self)(moderate) tracking/hunting (moderate)
Alpha/Master Abilities:(Lycanthropes/Vampires) Healing Pack Sight
Supernatural Human Abilities (Spellcasters, Necromancers,Animators,Vaudun): Empath (limited, will explain below)
==================================
Special Request Abilities: (Please Put any Special Powers and Abilities you would like to have for the Special Animal Character Type) Her empathy is very very weak on the recieving part, she can pick up emotions but truly just believes she is pretty good at reading a face or a crowd, it's not at all strong...however when she is focused (through her music) she does send emotion (again unaware of it) based on the emotion she puts into the song she sings, and again believes it is just her skill that effects the crowd...it makes perfect sense to her that a crowd would cry when she sings a tragic ballad or couples kiss if she sings a love song, etc....she doesn't notice that the couples didn't always come in together and such.
======================== Weapon Requests: Um...do you count a lute?

Character Biography: Her childhood started out basically normal, nice little middle class family in a nice little middle class town in a nice normal...well you get the idea. She was born in a small town out east, grew up attending a good school and did well, was in her church choir and the school chorus, always a talanted singer and often getting the solos. When she was about 12 though her mother and father divorced...due to her mother's rather unhealthy obsession with vampires. Her mother joined the Church of Eternal Life, with the goal of both being made vampires some day, she knew she would have to wait a few more years before her daughter could be turned though.
Somehow, she always believed that the Church was involved in some way, her mother did retain custody of her, the judge seemed to get the idea that her father was a child molesting, abusive, horrid man and even a vamp would be better then that for a teenage girl. It wasn't long after that she left her mothers house (easily enough, she slipped out at noon) and took to the streets. She managed to get by for a few weeks on her own, in the countryside since it was fall, she stole from fields, sometimes managed to get a little work helping out for a day or so here and there, but generally sleeping outside no matter what the weather. Too many people she learned, question why a 12 year old girl is out alone.
After several weeks she woke up to find herself surrounded by strange looking people, her first thought honestly was that they must be vampires, I mean they were all wearing weird things, like corsettes and long full outdated skirts, the men had leggins and flowy tops that didn't all match the same time period. How could they be anything other then vamps...but it was after sun-rise. With the realisation that the sun was up she calmed enough to learn that this was a Faire family, travelling to the next faire location. They took her in and for the next few years they became her family.
In her time with the O'Shannons she learned to play lute, harp, fiddle, and drum as well as dance and expanding her singing to include many old folksongs and ballads from Ireland and Scotland. They insisted she also finish her education, and two days after her 16th birthday she earned her GED. She learned to love this life and adopted the name Luna O'Shannon as her own (with their blessing), but also realised she had to seperate from them. Although she didn't want to hurt their feelings she knew she had outgrown them in skill and ability and was hurting the rest of their earnings because of her own skill. It was agreed that at the next faire she would find a new partner or group that matched her skill and would break away from them, always keeping in touch of course though, they were family after all.
At the next faire she wandered slowly listening to singers, watchign dancers, hearing the music till she found herself drawn towards a lone voice, singing unaccompanied. When she arrived she found herself staring at the most amazing man she had ever seen. There was something powerful, something bigger then life about him. WHen she met his eye she felt she couldn't turn away, but it wasn't the way her mother had described a vampires stare, there was a life, a joy in his eyes that just seemed to be what she was missing in her own life. As he started his next song she moved forwards very slightly indicating her lute in an offer of accompaniment. Her heart lept when he nodded slightly and she moved to sit on a small ledge near his feet and play. They did several songs together, the crowd around them growing and her own feelings seeming to almost overflow with his joy and love of life. She could see even the crowd was being effected by the beauty of the music they made together.
When he was ready he stepped off the outcropping he was on and held his hand out to her. She accepted it and rose, putting her lute away and letting him lead her away with him. To this day she can't really remember what happened after that...her memory of the evening is vague she knows they must have talked, but can't remember what they talked about...she remembers vividly the early parts of their lovemaking though...including the shock she felt realising she was happily giving herself to this man.
She woke the following morning to find herself naked, stiff and sore in a pile of cushions and blankets. She was in a tent, alone, her clothing nearby. She dressed trembling, praying to the gods that she hadn't made a mistake, only noticing when her shirt snagged on scaps that she was hurt more then normal stiffness. There was no mirror though so she couldn't see what had happened to her back. When she stepped out of the tent he was there. He told her that her things would be sent by one of the O'Shannons, and that they were thrilled she had found a partner to match her skill.
Over the next few weeks they settled into a pleasant routine, practicing their music, him teaching her new thigns while she cleaned and made costumes for them to wear that suited them well. She came to remember their lovemaking better, and was shocked to learn that she didn't mind the small pains that came with his scratching...it wasn't too painful after all, although the one time he did accidently get carried away and really hurt her she was furious and all feelings of wanting to be in bed with him fled instantly. He was careful never hurt her too badly again after that.
She did notice some strange things after a bit though, like when the full moon came around each month he moved them well away from people, into the hills for some "private time together" which she found loveable, flattering, and confusing all at once. It wasn't till they had been together doing this several months that she realised why she couldn't ever remember what they did together on the night of the full moon...and why she always felt better after that night. Part of her was furious with him for doing this to her, the other part of her loved and needed him so deeply though, she couldn't ignore her need for and love of him. She realised what he had done to her had brought them together in a way that they never could have been unless he had done it. He gave her the time she needed to realise that she loved him more for what he had done then she was angry at him for it.
From that point on she was his to train and teach and he did so well. He taught her to control her self and her new abilities and powers and she now understood the things he protected her from doing in those first few months, before she understood what he had done. If he hadn't been there she could have done so much hard to others on accident...although now she knew what she was she couldn't believe she had somehow overlooked so many things, she really had been pretty naive...she thought things seemed more colourful, brighter, smelled stronger, louder,..she thought it was all a side effect of love, not of being a cat. She loved the way he took her under his wing (so to speak) and taught her everything she needed to know. He was her protector, her lover, her partner, her everything.
As the years past, they remained together, she seldom saw another lycan, and when she did she simply did as he told her to do, standing slightly behind him letting him to the talking. She understood he was stronger then her, he was her protector, and would always be. Her life was perfect in her eyes, she had her music, her love, and her freedom (within his will of course), what more could she ask for.
In the past few months however things took a very upsetting turn for her. Another leopard came to the Faire, Her lover actually sent her away while they talked...he seemed to know and not like this other leopard. She went away as she was told to, but her mind never was far from him and she suddenly seemed to sense his pain. She ran to him as fast as she could, but by the time she arrived in the clearing they were camping in it was too late, the blood was everywhere...and most of it was his blood. The new leopard stood, still partially shifted in the midst of all that blood and peices of her lover, a smile on his face as he turned towards her. She froze in panic, terrified just a little too long, as she turned to flee he moved, catching her arm and simply shaking his head at her. He dragged her, seeming almost oblivious to her struggles, till he reached his truck before wacking her on the head hard enough she passed out. He cuffed her in silver cuffs, then tossed her in the covered bed of the truck, closed it and drove away.
When she woke she was still chained in what was definitely a basement...for the first time in many many years she lost control of her beast and shifted without meaning to, at which point her cuffs slipped off and she was able to try and tear down the door. He showed up before she did more then tear a small hole through it though and by the time he left she was back in human form, no longer restrained physically sobbing in a corner of the room. For the next couple weeks she remained there, not even trying to escape...terrified of what he would do to her if she did, and terrified of what he was doing to her even though she didn't. She learned she disliked pain more then she ever knew, and a deep hatred began to grow inside her for this beast who wanted to rule her. Her lover had ruled her through her love and willingness to be his, he had ruled her because he was stronger, better, and worthy of ruling her...this creature wanted to rule her through fear and pain...and those were things she wouldn't accept willingly. He was no stronger then her, if anything he was weaker because he was a blind bully who didn't realise things were stronger then brute strength...she knew better, she knew where real strength came from.
As all these feelings gathered and grew inside her, so did her beast. She felt it when she became strong enough, she knew she wasn't stronger then him, perhaps she never would be, but she was strong enough to escape him at last. He was so sure he would never have to worry about her trying, he was getting careless, and so when he came to her that night she flung herself at him full strength, had he been prepared he would never have let her go, but he was caught off guard as she knew he would be, and she fled through the house, past man other leopards, mainly weak females, and she ran.
Over the next week she remained mainly in her leopard form, searching the mountains till she found what she was after. Returning to her human form she approached one of the O'Shannon's when he was alone. Her family supplied her with all the money they could spare and clothing before bidding her a tearful fairwell at the airport. She boarded the plane to LA hoping that putting that much room between her and that beast would be enough to keep her safe while she learned to use her new powers well, and perhaps found others who could help help her.
